Finding Your purpose

Your purpose, according to the Bible, is deeply rooted in your identity as someone created by God, for God. Scripture outlines several key aspects of your purpose:

1. To Glorify God

You were created to bring glory to God through your life, worship, and obedience.

“Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”

— Isaiah 43:7

2. To Love God and Love Others

Jesus summarized the entire law and the prophets with these two commandments:

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ … And ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

— Matthew 22:37–39

3. To Know God and Be in Relationship with Him

God desires an intimate relationship with you.

“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”

— John 17:3

4. To Be Conformed to the Image of Christ Your life’s journey is meant to shape you to become more like Jesus.

“For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son…”

— Romans 8:29

5. To Serve and Use Your Gifts

You have been given unique gifts to serve others and build up the Body of Christ.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others…”

— 1 Peter 4:10

6. To Make Disciples and Share the Gospel

You're called to participate in God’s mission of redemption in the world.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”

— Matthew 28:19
